A data management plan (DMP) is a digital document setting out which data you intend to collect during a research project, how you intend to store and manage the data during the project, and what will happen to the data once the project is completed.
There are various models (templates) and checklists to help you write a data management plan. A completed template constitutes your data management plan. You can find the templates of UvA, NWO and ZonMW in DMPonline. That is an online application in which you can write and share your data management plan.
If you need help writing a data management plan, contact your data steward or RDM Support, and we will see what we can do. For example, we can provide digital feedback by adding our comments to your draft plan. Or if you prefer, we can arrange an appointment to discuss it face-to-face.
